When setting up a custom tracking domain using Mumara, adding a CNAME record alone isn’t enough — your server must also be configured to accept requests for that subdomain.
If the sub-domain isn’t defined as an “addon domain” (or virtual host/ServerAlias) on the server, the browser will show the default hosting page — and tracking will fail even if DNS seems correct.
The solution: either add the sub-domain via your control panel (e.g., cPanel) pointing to Mumara’s installation folder, or manually configure it as a virtual host on the web server so it’s routed properly to Mumara.
Once that’s done, the tracking domain will resolve correctly and become fully functional.
