When creating a trigger there is currently not an option to use a date field as the event criteria.

This is a critical need for me in my business and something I used a lot in my previous platform.

IE: When the date in %Date_Field% is reached, fire the trigger.

You can create a segment on it where %%date_field%% is {options} and then add a trigger on it. e.g give me an example and I'll explain how to achieve it

Thank you for clarifying. This is helpful and I've figured out how to make this work. I do think it would be nice for the dev pipeline to add a trigger based on date field.

1. Can you explain the case of the one-time email delivery? Are you referring to one-time birthday emails or simple newsletters?
2. For the recurring birthday emails, we have packed up a new module for the triggers, which is coming in v5.4.3

You can create a segment based on the custom field value and create a trigger on it that should send the drip/broadcast. So when there is a new contact added and it matches the segmented criteria, the trigger should fire the action on it. And this action will be performed once, as it will take the reference from the creation date of the contact.

Btw you can also signup for a 14-day free trial and test it before you proceed with the purchase. The trial comes up with the server and will be automatically deployed. To deploy a trial, navigate to https://www.mumara.com/campaigns/pricing/ and click the Deploy Trial button.

For further discussion, I would suggest opening a new topic.
