My IP reputation is ‘neutral’ how long until it improves?

I recently checked my sending IP reputation and it shows “Neutral”.

I’m sending campaigns from Mumara regularly and everything seems fine, but I’m unsure how long it usually takes for an IP to move from Neutral → Good.
Is there a fixed timeline, or does it depend on something?

Good question and yes, this is completely normal.

There’s no fixed time limit for an IP to move from Neutral to Good.
It depends almost entirely on how you send, not how long the IP exists.

Daily sending helps, but how you send matters more than frequency.

Mailbox providers look at:
  • Consistent volume
  • Low bounce and complaint rates
  • Positive engagement (opens, clicks, replies)
If those signals stay healthy, the reputation improves naturally.

Yes correct. During IP warm-up, Neutral is actually a good sign.
It means mailbox providers are still evaluating you and haven’t seen anything negative.

Jumping straight to “Good” without history is rare.

In most Mumara setups:
  • 2–3 weeks of clean, consistent sending → noticeable improvement
  • 4–6 weeks → stable “Good” reputation (if engagement stays strong)
But bad list quality or sudden spikes can delay this.

The biggest mistakes are:
  • Sending too much volume too fast
  • Old or purchased lists
  • High bounce rates
  • Spam complaints
  • Long gaps between sends
Mailbox providers want predictability, not bursts.

Best practices in Mumara:
  • Follow gradual IP warm-up schedules
  • Segment engaged users first
  • Avoid sudden campaign spikes
  • Keep authentication (SPF, DKIM, tracking domain) correct
  • Monitor logs and bounce reports
Mumara gives you the tools, consistency does the rest.
