Hi,

Before going with Mumara ESP we were processing bounces manually.
Since we are not hands-on of automatic bounce processing in powermta, Please guide us on how to compile powermta bounce processing with mumara.

Thanks

You need to

1. Navigate to ESP Settings -> Create Sending Server and there fill up the details as instructed
2. Navigate to ESP Settings -> Add IP blocks and assign to the server created
3. Add a user and then add a sender-info to it
4. Navigate to staff panel at yourdomain.com/staff_login.php
5. Approve the SMTP and the config will be auto-generated
6. Mumara processes the bounces automatically from PowerMTA accounting files

If it doesn't then make sure that Mumara as admin access to your PowerMTA web monitor. In some of the cases you have https turn on in PowerMTA and when Mumara tries to get the accounting files, it receives SSL error. If you don't have SSL installed on PowerMTA webmonitor URL, make sure you turn it off.

Hi Wasif,

Thank you for the details.
After adding the sending server. I am unable to rebuild the powermta server.
Mumara unable to connect the powermta server. I have correctly added the server details.
Let me know If I am missing something. Screenshot attached.

Thank you

You need to have at least one sender-id applied from the client side in order to build the PMTA server. Apply a sender-id from client side, and approve it from staff panel. It should work.

Hi,

We want to process bounce using powermta bounce process, but we are unable to proceed further as it is unable to make the connection. Below is the error code:

Connection Error: Server IP
Error MSG: Connection failed to Server IP,110: Connection refused

Not sure how IMAP or POP will be integrated. Please guide.

On bounce email, make sure that you have the checkbox selected for "Use PMTA Bounce Processing" and the correct server is linked. And when it's checked, Mumara will just process bounce reports from PowerMTA accounting files and will use POP/IMAP connection to empty the bounce mailbox to keep the mailbox light weighted. And if you are getting error on POP/IMAP then edit the bounce address and check if you have the correct settings configured. There you have a Test Email Login button that would give you details of the connectivity.

Hi,

We use to fetch bounces from the accounting files, and have never used POP/IMAP. Please guide us on how can we use POP/IMAP with powermta for bounce processing?

Navigate to Bounce -> View Bounce Email -> edit it and there configure it with the correct details.

in your Mumara server, you should have php-imap extension loaded if you have already configured an email address for it.
